The Threat Modeling Center (TMC) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Associate Software Engineer based out of Schriever AFB, in Colorado Springs, CO.
What You'll get to Do:
The Threat Modeling Center is responsible for the development and delivery of high fidelity threat modeling products in support of MDA and MDA's Ballistic Missile Defense System. This position requires a mid-level software development engineer with experience in software design and development. Primary responsibilities include: designing, developing, maintaining, and testing code used for modeling and simulation of ballistic missile and aircraft models in support of MDA Ballistic Missile Defense System events. This is a technical software-orientated position.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Position requires an active DoD Secret clearance
  • 0 Years with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Have a basic understanding of C/C++ and/or JAVA programming on LINUX and Windows platforms
  • Understanding of software development life cycle, software products, documentation and automated unit test
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Hands on Experience in C/C++ and/or JAVA programming on LINUX and Windows platforms
  • Experience in Modeling, Simulation, and automation
  • Strong math, physics or engineering background
  • Knowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and missile performance parameters necessary to model ballistic missiles
  • Software troubleshooting and code optimization experience
  • Previous experience with modernization of legacy applications
  • Working knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Previous experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Previous experience identifying and resolving cybersecurity issues through use of static code analysis tools such as HP Fortify
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic team environment
