Air Ground Task Force Development Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Analyze DoD or Service-level direction, doctrine, emerging concepts, and Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) operational objectives, strategic and long-range plans, and resource-to-training readiness to inform the creation of recommended MEF capstone force development documents. Make recommendations for and facilitate the development of the MEF campaign plan, Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) development program, and training and exercise employment plan supporting efforts to optimize force formation, manning, training, equipping, and employment. Assist with the planning, coordination, and facilitation of MAGTF development conferences and working groups or meetings and plan or coordinate MEF summits to enable formal assessment of the campaign plan and MAGTF development program in execution. Make recommendations for and facilitate the concept development phase of exercise design, develop and deliver position or information papers, presentations, standard operating procedures, and other development-related staff products.

Basic Qualifications: 

-6+ years of experience in the Marine Corps serving at the MEF MAGTF or Major MSC level in an operations or command billet

-5+ years of experience with the Marine Corps planning process

-5+ years of experience with project management

-3+ years of experience in dealing with Marine Corps Service Level concepts and doctrine

-Experience with Campaign Plan development and assessment

-Experience with the Defense Readiness Reporting System Marine Corps and the underlying readiness assessment

-Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including domestically and internationally

-Active Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree

-Graduate of Command and Staff College

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Marine Corps’ organization, operating Model, and expeditionary doctrine

-Experience in working with and participating in exercises directed by US Indo-Pacific Command, US Marine Forces Pacific, I MEF, or its Major Subordinate Commands

-Graduate of the School of Advanced Warfare, Marine Corps War College, or another Service equivalent

-Joint Qualified Officer
