Key Role:
Research, design, develop, and test structures, propulsion units, and guidance and control subsystems for aircraft, missiles, or spacecraft. Analyze aerospace products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods. Evaluate new technologies and IT systems for the application in improving the design of aerospace systems and safety of flight issues. Plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate testing of aerospace systems. Perform risk assessment of aerospace systems and generate risk mitigation plans and strategies. Conduct SWAP-C analysis of airborne platforms and conduct trade studies for the integration of new capabilities. Provide work leadership for junio employees.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with the integration of new capabilities on airborne platforms, including development, test, and safety of flight protocols
-Knowledge E-3 AWACS systems, subsystems, and architecture
-Ability to update system drawings and DoDAF products using Auto Cad, Visio, or other system engineering software
-Ability to lead an engineering team and interface with senior military leadership
-TS/SCI clearance required
-MS degree required
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with the integration of IT and Comm systems on military aircraft
-Experience with working on SAF Agile teams and projects
-MS degree in Aerospace or a related technical field preferred
