Responsibilities

We are searching for candidates to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) and Information Technology-Information Assurance-Information Management (IT-IA-IM) support for our client. They are responsible for all applied and advanced Research and Development, as well as the development and operation of technical demonstrations and operational prototypes. Advanced technologies are developed to support revolutionary changes and upgrades to current system operations in the conduct of the mission. Capability pathfinders are developed to inform the client on new concepts of operation, prove out new sources or methods, and explore technologies to fill mission gaps, or validate new mission areas. Specific responsibilities for this position are:

a) Analyze the physics aspects of satellite-based advanced sensors, including modeling of the environment and impacts on sensor performance. Calculate sensor performance budgets.
b) Support Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) activities tailored to R&D space-based Capability Demonstration missions and innovative R&D ground solutions through all phases of program lifecycles. Provide technical and analytic ability to review, evaluate, and synthesize multiple disparate sources of information in order to provide defensible technical positions on development activities across the portfolio. Apply SEIT experiences from space, ground and/or communications acquisitions to inform development activities. Conduct SEIT coordination and planning, document SEIT products in accordance with the Enterprise Systems Engineering Management Plan (ESEMP), and support the Chief Engineer(s), Program Managers and COTRs in the execution of activities. Support knowledge management capture and maintenance of the knowledge base of information, using SharePoint and other appropriate tools, by identifying content sources, developing processes, procedures, and methodologies to manage content, and working with program management and support offices.
c) Provide technical and analytic ability in SIGINT technologies and systems. Conduct analyses on the state-of-the-art SIGINT payload development.
d) Assess launch system requirements for space missions. Coordinate launch services and maintain the launch manifest.

Qualifications

Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.
