Advanced Electro Optics (AEO) Product Line Director

The Advanced Electro Optics (AEO) Product Line Director is responsible for a wide range of advanced CRAD, classified and prototype contracts ranging in size from $1-$50M with a 5 year AOP un-factored growth target of $800M. This position is responsible for successful execution and reporting of all efforts to both the customer and multiple Raytheon Business Vice Presidents (ACT, ISRS, Space, TAS). The role of this position includes developing market strategy, directing internal company investment into a capture strategy, attracting talent, CRAD program execution, establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships in a complex technical environment and partnering with government counterparts to market potential programs in the Science and Technology Acquisition community.

Along with the technical complexity, this individual will need to maneuver through very complex customer communities ranging from highly technical to end users. In addition, this individual will be required to maneuver complex security requirements. This individual will be expected to have highly persuasive skills to influence peers, executive level individuals and senior level customers to make investment decisions resulting in new programs. Another aspect of this role is that collaboration with ACT product lines will be expected in the form of influencing strategies to take advantage of multi-sensor solutions while pursuing/capturing traditional programs. This position will report to the ACT Vice President and will be on the ACT Leadership Team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Product Line Profit and Loss responsibility
• Strategic Growth planning and execution
• Transition programs to SAS Mission Areas (ISRS, Space Systems, TAS)
• Program execution - will be responsible for presenting program status utilizing business and project management tools and procedures such as IPDS, EVMS, IMS/IMP, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts and EAC
• Working with all functional organizations to ensure program is properly staffed and ensuring that the functions are engaged on programs.
• Organizing and tracking performance of engineering subject matter experts.
• Employee supervision

As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. The selected candidate will be required to secure these accesses. Not being able to secure the special accesses needed for this position may result in an offer of employment being rescinded.

• 14 years of related DoD experience in engineering and sciences
• Minimum 8 years Program Management experience
• Experience managing strategic business to drive growth
• Understanding of sensor technology , Laser technology, Mission ConOps, EO/IR and Digital Imaging
• Understanding of Raytheon’s products
• Experience interfacing with DOD and/or Science & Technology customers
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain special access
• Customer Interface experience such as presenting program status utilizing business and project management tools and procedures such as IPDS, EVMS, IMS/IMP, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts and EAC
• US Citizen

• Experience managing special programs
• Hands-on experience working with customer to derive requirements
• Understanding of EO/IR systems architecture or software architecture

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment
