Performs a variety of general administrative tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of an office, group or customer.


On-boarding Portfolio Work hours: During New Hire Orientation, arrival time will be 0630-0700. When New Hire Orientation is not in session, the core hours and arrival/departure times are flexible with task management approval. Will split time between Reston and Chantilly complex depending on training course location. •Oversee approximately 6 New Hire Orientations. Required to compile and provide orientation packets to attendees. Travel to McLean location with arrival time 0600 and is expected to work a 10 hr. shift. Assist with approximately 5 student intern courses on annual basis •Will meet with all attendees at the start of each day to gather signatures for attendance and request any other required information. Create/update spreadsheets/course lists. Create name tags, seating charts, and other related documents. Interact with instructors/presenters and Program Manager(s) for each course. •Provide Training Assistant Officer coverage/back-up coverage for student intern course in much of same way for the orientation course for new employees (e.g Provide back up support for the Training Administrator that supports this class). •Submit each new employee for course credit for orientation and for any required •Answer questions, provide guidance and to collect attendance information. •Confirm each presenter’s availability for assigned days. Notify management and locate a replacement presenter.


1. Performs a variety of general administrative tasks, such as preparing reports and correspondence, answering phones, filing, and sorting and distributing mail, in support of the day-to-day operations of an office, group or customer.


2. Compiles various contract, program, and financial data using various database programs, and prepares monthly status reports based on the results.


3. Collects and inputs timesheet information into automated accounting system and processes labor corrections.


4. Processes purchasing requisitions, invoices for consultants and subcontractors, and travel and expense reports.


5. Serves as point of contact for the office or group on issues related to accounting, human resources, purchasing, and other departments, as well as outside contacts such as customers, vendors, and subcontractors.


6. Participates in special projects as required.


1. Requires a High School Diploma or GED.


2. Associates Degree preferred.


1-3 years of related administrative experience.
