Administrative Assistant 4

Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is looking for a well qualified Administrative Assistant to work in Redondo Beach, CA. This role will serve as an assistant for the Engineering and Technology Systems Program Management Office, in support of the Research, Technology, and Engineering (RTE) organization.

The employee will provide assistance to engineers / users who have been unable to resolve IT issues, by directing them to the right resources (PMO, Enterprise, Helpdesk, etc.) and will escalate the issue for quick resolution if/when applicable. Examples of relevant IT issues include requests for new PCs or tablets, HPC, engineering software, or administrative accounts; problems with business software such as Skype, Remote Desktop, SharePoint, One Drive, Office or Outlook; requesting waivers for non-standard hardware; and appealing denied requests.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

Performing normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files; taking calls; arranging meetings and conferences; receiving, referring, or answering mail.
May reviews drafts and/or finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage; answer questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures.
Gather, compile, and report information relevant to supervisor's assignment. May take and transcribe dictation.


The role will also include working with stakeholders in order to define clear processes, where necessary. The candidate will be responsible for integration efforts within the PMO, including creating presentation slides, tracking operations metrics, and other special assignments. The employee will also be responsible for traditional administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and travel, submitting expense reports, managing Outlook calendars, and coordinating special events.

Basic Qualifications:

Associates Degree with 4 years of Administration experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of Administration experience is required
Must have experience providing Administrative support within one or more of the following environments: Information Technology, Engineering, and/or Aerospace
Must have at least 4years of experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience supporting or collaborating with the administrative staff of senior management, vice presidents, and/or directors is needed
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret level security clearance, and maintain the clearance as a condition of continued employment



Preferred Qualifications:


Associates degree in Technology, with 4 years of general Administration experience, supporting both Senior Managers and Directors in a large aerospace engineering environment
Working knowledge of Northrop Grumman's management systems (examples: Business, Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, Integration & Test) would be preferred
A customer-focused individual, with excellent communication skills helpful
Should be entrepreneurial, a self-starter, and have the ability to challenge the status quo
Prefer a detail-oriented candidate, with the ability to keep track of multiple ongoing projects and track each to closure
Current DOD level Secret clearance is preferred
