Administrative Assistant 3

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Falls Church, VA.
In this role, the selected candidate will be highly motivated, collaborative, detail orientated, assertive as necessary, and friendly in the performance of the Administrative Assistant role. The selected candidate mustbe able to professionally and effectively communicate both written/verbally with internal and external representatives of all levels; demonstrating tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment when conveying and gathering and sharingrelevant information.
The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
  1. Must be easy-going with a balanced temperament, and ability to deal with stressful situations with others without losing his/her temperament. Sense of humor is a big plus.
  2. Provide responsive travel support for with planning lead-times typically on one-day or same-day notice, and expense reports completed within 2-3 days after submittal of receipts..
  3. Responsive travel planning and expense report support.
  4. Calendar/meeting management.
  5. Strong/thorough understanding of Company policies for planning/expensing catering, OIE, Indirect, and unallowable policies for diverse meeting support and office supply purchasing needs.
  6. Support a matrixed engineering team (light travel/expense support).
  7. Ability to attend staff meetings and take notes, capture meeting actions.
  8. Strong MS Office skills: to includeOutlook (expert); PowerPoint and Excel.
The selected candidate willhave theability to work with minimal supervision while exercising good judgment, demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts and providing excellent follow through.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have an active/in-scope Secret Security Clearance
  • Must have at least 4 years of administrative experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance with SCI
  • Must have advanced proficiency in MS Office: to include Outlook (expert); PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to work occasional overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Good sense of humor
  • Current Secret or Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with Concur or similar
  • Experience with I Buy or similar
