ASRC Federal Space and Defense is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Edwards AFB, CA.

ASRC Federal Space and Defense brings a long history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. ASRC Federal Space and Defense provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.

This position will support our marketing and management efforts for one of the nation's greatest test facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible to interpret directives from the customer and provides the appropriate direction, administration and monitoring of various marketing and biz dev tasks. They will work with Test Areas to gather scheduling information and perform updates to the Master Schedule. They will manage ASRC Personnel schedules to ensure meetings are properly scheduled. The successful candidate will be required to work independently on tasks and make presentations to the customer, track and maintain status on the work group's safety training requirements to ensure compliance with AFRL policies. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and will perform other duties as assigned.

  • Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Writing and processing Purchase Requisitions through to completion and maintain all logistics documents as it pertains to the coordination of receiving and controlling of special test equipment, tools, support equipment, and bench stock.
    • This also applies to lab tools, test equipment, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and support equipment and maintains strict accountability.
  • Thinks and works independently, yet shares ideas and works toward team goals of the AFRL.
  • Is able to express thoughts in a clear concise manner both orally and written; ability to communicate well in person, over the phone and through E-mail.
  • Ability to respond to changing business requirements and priorities.

Requirements
    • 5 years relevant experience in executive assistance and office administration.

    • College Degree will count towards experience.

    • Demonstrated knowledge in coordination and oversight of executive calendar, correspondence, and various other administrative duties

    • High School diploma.

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint

    • Experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus

    • Good oral and written communication skills and analytical capabilities required.

    • Must be able to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI)/Security Clearance, as required.

    • Must have a valid CA driver's license.

    • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
