Perspecta has an immediate/upcoming need for a0365 Engineer Specialist in Washington, DC

Perspecta is currently conducting interviews to make contingent offers for an exciting potential new customer, the Department of Labor (DOL). Candidates with a current Public Trust clearance, and all other qualified personnel are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration. The customer states that employees working under this task order shall be United States Citizens or legal permanent residents (i.e.: "Green Card Holders").

Under general direction, applies specialized knowledge in/of MS O365 platform and technology solutions such as assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering or legacy evolution. Applies specialization to conceptualize, design, construct, test and implement portions of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology in the O365 environment. Supports achievement of deliverables for assigned projects. Collects, identifies, defines and organizes detailed user and information technology requirements. Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations. Participates in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions. Understands and uses appropriate tools to analyze, identify and resolve business and or technical problems affecting O365 environments. Applies metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria. Prepares system documentation. Establishes and maintains security, integrity and business continuity controls and documents.

Participates in special studies. Stays current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies. Assists information technology engineers on application of specialized knowledge to coding, testing, implementation and documentation projects for O365.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and 6 years of experience OR Associate's Degree and 8 years of experience OR 10 years minimum of experience.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Enterprise Administrator Expert a plus.
  • ITIL v3 foundation a plus.
  • Azure cloud certification preferred.
  • Experience with Enterprise Messaging Systems (EMS) including providing support to end users, troubleshooting messaging issues.
  • Experience managing individual and shared email mailboxes including user permissions and group distribution lists.
  • Experience supporting management of email security appliances, filtering, Anti-Virus Protection, and email policy enforcement, remote user access using handheld smartphone devices.
  • Able to assist with management of infrastructure components of the cloud solution regarding EMS.
  • Able to provide assistance 24x7x365 monitoring, maintenance restoration support, and eDiscovery, as required; Support the Service desk support (Tier 2/3/4); Operational Support for Cloud Mailbox Services.
  • Experience includes but not limited to troubleshooting mailbox issues, email security, including anti-virus scans for messages (EMS).
  • Able to work to ensure 99% uptime, assist with management of email flow including anti-spam efforts.
  • An Active Public Trust or the ability to obtain a clearance.
