(ISSM) Principal Cyber Information Assurance Anlyst w/ Clearance 3/4

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systemsis currently seeking a Principal Cyber Information Assurance Analyst- w/Clearance (ISSM)for ourNorthridge, CAlocation.


The Principal Cyber Information Assurance Analyst (ISSM) will serve as the Information Systems Security Manager at the Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, Defense Electronic Systems (DES) Northridge, CA facility. This role will serve as the principal advisor and responsible to the business for creating, executing an overall and comprehensive Information Assurance program under the governance of the following documents and frameworks: DAAPM/NISPOM, CNSSI No. 7003 and NIST Publications.

The ISSM will create and process accreditation documentation under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization process. The candidate will be able to work in a high paced, dynamic and aggressive program schedule environment with minimal supervision. In addition the candidate will possess excellent writing, public speaking, project management, organizational and customer service skills. The candidate will work closely and assist Program Management, Information Technology Solutions and leadership to identify solutions for the growing complexity of the Information System environment, its governance requirements and security posture.


Required Skills:

*Risk Management Framework, document certification and accreditation activities, create, update System Security Plans and other artifacts in accordance with company and government standards.

*Create and maintain Plan of Actions and Milestone (POAM)s

*Experience in executing information assurance/security user training programs, mentoring and training Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), managing resources, staff and budgets.

*Experience in maintaining physical and environmental protection, personnel security and incident handling.

*Experience in establishing an effective configuration management process, managing changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes.

*Experience in the use of Microsoft Operating Systems, Windows 7, 10 and server 2008r2, 2012r2 and 2016.

*Experience in the use of Linux Operating System RHEL 7X.

*Must possess or be able to obtain DoD 8570 certification IAM Level III, CISSP or Associate, CISM or GSLC within 6 Months of employment.
*Experience in implementing technical security requirements for auditing and experience in the usage of SIEM tools and processes.
*Must be able to implement and maintain a comprehensive security vulnerability management program.
*On occasion work extended hours to support contractual requirements to meet customer needs.
*Accomplish other duties as assigned.


This requisition may be filled at a higher grade level 3 or a level 4 based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level3 or a level 4.

Basic qualifications for a Principal Cyber Info Assurance Analyst 3 (ISSM) are aBS Degree in Information Technology or related field with 5 years of directly related experience or 7 years' experience in an Information Assurance Role.

*Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Basic qualifications for Principal Cyber Info Assurance Analyst 4 (ISSM) are BS Degree in Information Technology or related field with 9 years of directly related experience or10 years' experience in an Information Assurance Role.

*Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of current Government Industrial Security guidelines to include:
  • JSIG, ICD 503 and DoD 5205.07 - COMSEC related experience.
