Location:  Washington, DC — 3-4 days on-site / 1-2 days remote

Clearance: Secret (required)                                                                                                  

PCI is actively seeking a DevOps Project Lead to lead our Service Operations team supporting the Department of Homeland Security. 


  • Working in a DevSecOps environment with agile development, requirements, and engineering teams.
  • Working closely with developers and stakeholders to understand process and technical requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key government and contractor contacts and becoming a trusted advisor to these individuals
  • Facilitating meetings, communicating with users and stakeholders, and adapting your communication style to your audience.
  • Researching technologies and implementing the solution based upon customer requirements and capacity.
  • Develop and maintain guiding program documents, whitepapers, analysis of alternatives, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned or directed


  • Secret clearance and DHS EOD approval
  • 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
  • Background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
  • Ability to translate and break down technical requirements into smaller, measurable components
  • Ability to determine appropriate technologies based on compute, data, or security requirements
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and system security (e.g. DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, identity management)
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Perl, Go, or Bash
  • Experience with different cloud service models (e.g. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Serverless)
  • Ability to work independently and to successfully multitask


  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Travis, GitLab ci)
  • Experience with container technology and microservices
  • Experience with deployment/configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, puppet, chef, fabric)
  • Experience operating or monitoring fault-tolerant distributed systems (e.g. Redundancy, Availability Zones, Data Reliability)
  • SharePoint administration experience
