Counter Terrorism Intelligence Analyst Job
The Mission Support Business Unit has a career opportunity for a Counter Terrorism Intelligence analyst supporting United States Army Japan at Camp Zama, Japan.
This challenging and professionally rewarding position is in direct support of the USARJ Commanding General, his G-2 and other senior staff members.
The Intelligence Analyst will conduct in-depth research, read daily message traffic, construct and deliver weekly briefings, provide all-source analysis of topics as requested by the Government staff or contractor site lead.
The analyst will provide professional all source intelligence products, conduct coordination and support potentially deploying units, groups and individuals who may be deploying. Provide CI and CT threat assessments regarding travel to various countries and force protection support for troops in transit. Develop all-source intelligence collection requirements focused on Counter-terrorism threats to Japan based troop units, bases and facilities. The analyst will provide input to the Commanding General’s daily read book and associated briefings. Provide research papers as requested to support the Command regarding issues relevant to the security of the United States and Japan. Provide information pertaining to specific potential threats in the PACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Required Education and Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts/Sciences (or related field) and 4+ years of genuine all-source intelligence analysis experience
Must be familiar with JWICS, SIPRNET, NIPRnet, Microsoft Office suite. Needs to have a working knowledge of HOTR, M3, TRIPWIRE and various intelligence databases. Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and in writing. Must be personable and work well as a team member. Must be poised and tactful, able to interact well with senior military and Government civilian officials. Needs to have an in-depth knowledge of CI tradecraft and extremist organizations operating in the PACOM AOR.
Must have a TS/SCI clearance.
Desired skills: Good understanding of the USARJ mission and intelligence support to Army units is desired. Working knowledge of Analyst Notebook. Experience providing intelligence support to combat operations. Experience with cyber CI and network security analysis.
