
Procurement clerk
Job Description
1.Assists procurement by typing of purchase orders and subcontracts; recording receipt of quotes and maintaining vendor search records; and assisting with the preparation of statistical reporting. 2. Contacts vendors for quotations for small supply actions. 3. Compiles documentation to establish procurement files. Maintains the procurement filing system. 4. Performs data entry to close out purchase orders. 5. Maintains the distribution system for all correspondence. 6. Maintains a suspense file for documents such as RFQs, subcontracts, and modifications. 7. Prepares correspondence to subcontractors/vendors and internal personnel. Perform all otehr duties as assiged or requested.
Skills
High school degree or equivalent training/experience and 3 years of experience. Requires knowledge of computer operating software programs. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
