The Surveillance and Reconnaissance Business Unit (SRBU) of SAIC has an immediate opportunity for an Entry/Mid-level PROJECT SCHEDULER located in El Segundo, CA. Current DoD security clearance required. Candidates without clearance will not be considered. JOB DESCRIPTION: The scheduler will work as an integral part of the project management team creating, maintaining, and monitoring the project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for establishing the schedule, maintaining the schedule baseline, reporting schedule status and variances, updating the schedule statuses, resource loading the schedule and assessing schedule risk using the schedule, schedule risk analysis software and schedule-related metrics. The candidate must have experience in maintaining and providing bi-weekly and monthly variance analysis and working with a development team to gather schedule requirements, dependencies and activities. Additionally, the scheduler will need to have experience in developing, maintaining and reporting at various levels Enterprise Master Scheduling (EMS) (integration of Directorate, Prime, SE&I and other external schedules). Candidate may be called upon to develop and deliver presentations to senior management relating to the IMS and EMS. In addition to performing the scheduling function, the candidate will support the team’s implementation of earned value methodologies and sound project control practices requiring interaction with contracts personnel, senior technical personnel, accounts receivable, finance and other functional or support organizations. REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelors degree in related discipline and 5+ years of experience as project scheduler (half of the experience must be Intelligence Community space related acquisition within an Acquisition Program Office or Contractor) specifically, developing and managing resource-loading project schedules. The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of resource loaded networks (RLNs) and a minimum of 3 years experience with MS Project and 2 years experience with Microsoft Tool Suite. Effective written and oral communication skills are required to work well with all levels of staff and managers. Prior experience with government contracting is preferred. Knowledge of critical path methodology (CPM), risk management concepts using risk software such as Risk+ and be familiar with performance-based contracting. The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year experience with DCMA 14 point assessment analysis and 1 year experience using Steelray Project Analyzer. Current security clearance required
