Why we support and why they ride

You may have heard that we are again sponsoring the Wounded EOD Warrior Ride, aptly named the Undefeated Ride, to raise funds for the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation (WEODWF). We all have been asked to support things from buying Girl Scout cookies to blood drives for the American Red Cross to groups that help internationally. There are so many groups, causes and funds that need help, where do you begin? We chose the Wounded EOD Warrior Ride for a couple reasons.

Help us support the Wounded EOD Warrior Ride

ClearedJobs.Net is again sponsoring and riding in the Wounded Explosive Ordnance Disposal Warrior Foundation’s (WEODWF) Undefeated 2-Day Bike Ride scheduled for October 8-10, 2010 in Southern California.

This year’s ride will have an increase of participants to 68, up from the inaugural year’s 37. Of these, 36 are active Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technicians accompanied by additional riders from all branches of the military. The group raised over $80,000 last year and has increased its goal to $150,000 this year.

The two-day ride is nearly 160 miles along Southern California’s coast- from Santa Monica to Liberty Station, San Diego, and raises funds to support Wounded EOD Warriors and their families.…

*Train of Pain* Bicycle Team Is Back!

The Train of Pain bicycle team we sponsor each year is back and this time, with a social media vengeance! This year the team has launched their new Facebook page which has some wonderful status updates and photos from the road and beyond.

The regular stream of information posted on Facebook provides interested third parties, like us, with interesting tid bits and a window into the biking adventures of these self-proclaimed “rapidly aging has-beens clinging to their Glory Days and testing the very limits of Lycra with a tour through the climbs & descents of SoCal in May of ’10.”

Wounded Warrior Project TRACK Students To Receive Suits for New Careers

Today, Warrior Project’s (WWP) TRACK students will receive new suits as part of their journey into the civilian workforce at local Jacksonville businesses. Thanks to the efforts of Dignity U Wear, the warrior students were fitted with business suits provided at no cost by the Men’s Wearhouse at their St. Johns Town Center store on February 19.

Wounded Warrior Foundation Bike Ride … The Recap (Hint: “No lack of smiles from the crowd”)
