In 2009, ClearedJobs.Net initiated an effort to publicly recognize military spouses on Military Spouse Appreciation Day — a national recognition usually held each year on the Friday before Mother’s Day. ClearedJobs.Net’s military spouse appreciation endeavor — an exclusive Twitter-specific initiative using the handle @milspouseday — had successfully highlighted more than 60 military spouses on the popular social utility tool for their sacrifice and dedication to their military husbands and wives on active duty.
