The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) in conjunction with the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates Trade and Commercial Office, is leading a trade mission for U.S. aerospace, defense and IT security/infrastructure companies to the UAE on October 2nd – 7th, 2010. Certified by the United States Department of Commerce, the trade mission will enable participating companies to assess business development opportunities and network with potential partners, customers and UAE senior officials and executives.

The NDIA and its partners are leading a knowledge gathering and networking based trade mission to the United Arab Emirates to assist approximately 50 participants representing 20-30 aerospace and defense related companies in the exploration of business opportunities in the UAE. According to Danny Sebright, President, U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council “in the last two years alone, the UAE has spent over $15B on defense goods and services in the US marketplace.” Sebright goes on to say “over the next five years, the UAE is expected to significantly increase the level of its defense and aerospace procurements and investments, as well as greatly expand the level of spending in homeland security and critical national infrastructure related services and capabilities.”

“At NDIA we see the true power of knowledge gathering and networking every day at our meetings and events,” said NDIA Vice President of Operations, Barry Bates.” Providing industry with the information it needs to shape its business strategy for growth supports a strong and resilient industrial base – a key component of our mission. The aerospace and defense marketplace has to consistently adjust and think several moves ahead to ensure success. We’re dedicated to bringing the right people together at the right time and place to spawn fresh ideas and new business relationships in support of our Nation’s security.”
